Algerians living abroad experienced great joy after the Ministry of Transport announced a significant increase in flights on Wednesday evening, but the next day everything turned upside down.Doubt first entered the minds of citizens when the Presidency announced on Thursday, March 10, the dismissal of Transport Minister Issa Bakay for "gross misconduct." This decision cast a shadow over the continuation of the program and weakened the hopes of Algerians who had already started planning for Ramadan and summer vacation tickets. Then Air Algérie announced the start of new flight sales on Friday, March 11, before deleting its press release, causing further concern.Next, the Algerian community representative in France tried to restore some hope, as Abdelwahab Yaakoubi stated that Air Algérie was simply waiting for the civil aviation agreement in France (DGAC) to start the sales. However, on Sunday, March 13, the Ministry of Transport deleted the press release published the previous Wednesday announcing the increase in flights, placing a "semi-final" end to the suspension. For its part, Air Algérie mentioned a "freeze" on the program, but no official announcement was made. A reliable source confirmed that foreign airlines were notified of the suspension of the flight increase decision.A source from foreign airlines stated: "We were in the process of increasing the number of flights. Procedures progressed well. We even uploaded the new flights into the system, but we just learned that the program is suspended."So all doubts are now cleared: the new flight schedule has been suspended until further notice.Flight Schedule: Decision to Freeze Confirmed
