On Thursday evening, Air Algérie deleted its press release posted on social media announcing the launch of ticket sales for the new flight schedule.
The press release had been published at the end of the day, announcing ticket sales to several destinations: Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Senegal, and Mauritania.
However, a few hours after publication, the text was removed from Air Algérie’s social media accounts. The national airline provided no explanation.
This deletion caused significant concern among travelers, many of whom are asking on social media whether the new program has been canceled or changed. Concerns increased after the announcement of the dismissal of the Minister of Transport for “gross misconduct.”
Some people do not hesitate to link the events: the announcement of the new flight schedule, the minister’s dismissal, and the publication and deletion of the press release by Air Algérie.
For now, the national airline has not responded to questions from Algerian travelers.
